Branding, Website Design & Front-end Development

Fibre Labs is building a integrate natural fibre textiles company, aim to reduce the carbon footprint of the world's second largest polluting industry - textiles.

How did we help?

In 2018, we had the pleasure of working with the Fibre Labs team, creating their new brand identity as well as their website. We helped them tell their story through a bold new identity and a robust online experience.

Starting from the bottom

Our main goal was to create a modern visual design language to help Fibre Lbas stand out and that could be applied across future product development and marketing collateral. We knew their visual identity needed to create brand recognition while continuing to identify and grow alongside them.

We kicked off the project with the branding phase by creating by the brandmark first and then developed the further identity elements. Taking inspiration from the company’s core mission, we designed a combined symbol and wordmark that is simple, instantly recognizable, and timeless enough to stay relevant regardless of the direction their business takes in the future.

Typography & Colors

We selected a sophisticated yet friendly type treatment for use throughout the website. Easy-to-read with a touch of personality, various weights help communicate Fibre Lab’s brand essence. The font pairings we chose are Suranna and Karla.

With the purpose of creating an impactful and ownable identity, we developed a fresh and bold color palette to complement the open, light background of the website.


Our aim was to continue the simple design through iconography that looks simple and practical. Pushing for a more linear and flat style as we try to convey their messaging.

UI/UX Design

Our main focus was to design a website that gives Fibre Labs an effective way to showcase their innovative products and potentially increase the brand awareness, and deliver an excellent user experience across all platforms and use cases.

Before continuing with the visual design phase we developed the wireframes and put all the content and ideas in place. This enabled mus to focus solely on the visual end of things later on.

In just a 2-week design sprint in which I worked closely with the client, we managed to finish all the design work on the project starting with information architecture through UX and visual design for desktop, tablet, and mobile, as well as creating a small design system to help implementation and further smaller updates in the future.


We coded their website completely using Bootstrap framework. With an emphasis on mobile-first users, the website is built to work seamlessly across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices. We also developed a content management system for the clients to write new blog posts on their own.

The result

During our 4 weeks partnership, we worked closely with their team through all of the design and development phases. We challenged our own initial ideas and design directions to come up with a website design and visual identity that best reflects the business and adheres to the core “why” - to attract more customers to the Fibre Labs and encourage them to learn more about their innovation in textiles market.
